We're here! Yay! It's warm and occasionally rainy here... but WARM! :) I love warm rain, I've missed it. I'm just so use to rain being so sucky with cold weather and wind, warm rain is always such a pleasure. Our flight left and arrived on time, everything has gone like clock work to get here. We were so beat by the time we got here, I crashed on my bed for the first hour after checking in. I don't sleep the night before flying out if I have to leave early, always too afraid I'll oversleep and miss my flight. Sleeping on the plain, as expected, wasn't that workable. But, after an hour nap, we got up, headed over to Epcot and had dinner at a Chinese restaurant. As we finished dinner, the fireworks began, what a great show! Stopped to pick up some rain fly's for when you get the occasional down poor. Warm or not, don't want to get soaked. :) Then we took the monorail over to the magic kingdom just to see the monorail. Hey, it's late, Epcot just closed, after all. Then took their ferry the rest of the way into the kingdom, and then Sarah finally admitted she was beat and wanted to go back to the hotel. So we did. Got back to the hotel, changed into our jammies, and we headed out in jammies back to the main hotel lobby building, where the arcade is. The arcade had all it's non-prize giving games set to play for free. One guy told me is was a computer glitch (not a disney staffer) and that I should get in as many games as I can. Glitch or not, that's exactly what we did. SHWEET! Sarah had plenty of energy now. So we played games for I think about two hours... for free! :) Very cool! Once again, Sarah's energy bottomed out, so back to the room we went. Then she wanted on the internet to chat with her friends back home and to help finish creating her new Myspace page (I just finally allowed her to get one). Work called and left me a voice mail while we were flying out here, seems one of the virtual servers is seeing unusually high load and is causing some worries about performance. I finally emailed them some advice about it this morning... but let's see how they fare without me. Hopefully just fine. It's nice to be needed once in a while... but not all the time. It'll be good to see my co-workers learn to spread their wings on all this virtual server stuff and discover they already have what it takes, they just need confidence. Okay, have fun folks. More on this later. Either tonight or tomorrow. Peace & Love, *Darb (ON VACATION!!!!!!!!!) Well, I want to just cover quickly what all has happened in the last 2 months or so. I'm really hoping to find the light at the end of this tunnel. ( Long post within... )So... Would you folks pray for me, my family, and co-workers? Please? Things I could use right now: 1) A new job, one hopefully with Linux and not all the political BS of a Boeing sized company that eats at my soul every day. Pays well. 2) Healthy parents. Stop getting sick! Please! I am so worried about all of you! 3) A vacation. 4) A burrito. 5) And I'm not above asking for hugs. Just be aware at any hug, I might crack and cry, but I'll do my best not to. But, I'm getting my car back today, right? Maybe this is the beginning of the turn around I needed... maybe things will start turning out for the better now. Peace, *Darb Tags: car, family, health, work Current Mood: optimistic Current Music: Rogue Wave - Eyes

Ahh yes, a traffic cop drove into a sub shop today. Wonder if he was on his cell phone or eating at the wheel to cause such an accident. The bone head swerved into a bicyclist, injuring him and somehow involved a semi in his screw up, too. Finally this member of "Seattle's Finest" plows into a sub sandwich shop. I hope the cyclist is okay, not seriously hurt. As for the cop... Well, he's a bottom feeding traffic cop, stupid enough to do crap he'd write tons of tickets for. I love the taste of the irony... yes, I can taste it. The cop was injured, too, but then again, he's a traffic cop. He volunteers to get hurt. Well there ya go, buddy. If you have a family, I hope they figure out you aren't worth staying at home worrying about and they ditch ya before you get yourself killed on duty and break their hearts worse. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2003549377_webcopsubway31.htmlRemember kids, cops are no better than you, they're just armed and licensed to break the law. *Darb Current Mood: ecstatic Current Music: Dunkelwerk - Sternensoldat (Remix by Plastic Noise Experience)

Well, Larry's doing pretty well. Now at home, he's able to eat things like jello, popsicles, chicken noodle soup, pudding, and oatmeal. He got up and around a bit today. Although while he was in the shower, he said his hip popped out of socket, something that's not normal for him. Anyway, he got it back in, and he did *not* fall... but it's sore. I'm thinking all the weight he lost from this, combined with all the weight he lost a few years back fighting cancer, might have weakened his muscles and maybe even his bones. Dunno. I'm just glad he's getting better. :) My mom thanks all of you for thinking of him and praying for him. It's greatly appreciated. Thanks gang, *Darb Current Mood: good Current Music: Spetsnaz - Silent Screams

Well, Sarah's younger friend, Rebecca, just called and ended their friendship. They were friends for a long time, but as Sarah moved into Jr. High, the age difference became much more apparent. Sarah prefer's to hang out with the older sister, and Rebecca always feels left out or bossed around. Combine that with both Sarah and Rebecca being both *major* drama queens, they fight and fight and fight. They tattle on each other like you wouldn't believe, too. Good grief. Anyway, Sarah is still friends with her older sister, Ricki, and I'm still friends with the family as a whole (it's a big family). I'd forgotten how soap-opera-y the school years were. *sigh* Don't think I wanted to remember that, either. Oh well. I have a feeling they'll be friends again someday when they both grow up. Time will tell. Kids. Oi. *Darb Current Mood: annoyed Current Music: Huey Lewis and the News - Heart and Soul
